Happy Tribe Rumblings

Hey Folks,

It’s been a hectic week but I wanted to say Happy Hump Day! I’ve been packing and trying to plan this dang party and I feel like I’m on overload. I wanted to do a brief update to let you know three things…

  1. Munch got his third quarter report card and got 6 A’s and 6 B’s. Whoop! Whoop! Can you believe it? I am so super proud and that dang math grade that had me stressed out, hair falling out, feeling like a failure as a mother, getting him in tutoring ASAP and figuring out how to ease his anxiety went from a D to a B. Yes, thank you Lordy!
  2. I’m freaking out about this dang party. I haven’t ordered the decorations or food. I think I’m just going to do pizza and call it a day. I don’t have time. I just want him to have a great time. He invited 5 kids from school and one was the girl Savannah that he has a crush on. Her mom stated that she’s coming.  He’s excited. He’s in crush and she’s coming to his party. However, Mr. C said, “That’s wonderful. I hope his crush doesn’t get taken at his own birthday party.” Say what now? I hope not.
  3. I’ve received so many award nominations this week (Liebster, Sunshine Blogger Award and Blogger Appreciation Award)  that I want to say thank you to everyone who nominates me. I don’t always respond to nominations, but I’m thankful that you read, respond and feel the need to nominate me. I am overwhelmed by my blogger tribe. You all rock! I just want to share pieces of my life with you. But in sharing, I’ve met some really awesome bloggers who touch me with their stories about their lives, their children or just their writing. I thank you for being you and I have to say that I love when I read compliments like this…

Tikeetha from A Thomas Point of View– Tikeetha has been such a great support to my blog and I don’t even think she knows it:) Each time she likes a post of mine it’s like telling me, hey there’s someone out here reading this! And it makes me giggle and happy. So thank you Tikeetha! Tikeetha is a writer, much more so than I can claim. I praise her open honesty and how she let’s her blog speak truth. She is an inspiring Mama and well worth your follow! –MZB

I was nominated for the 3 day Quote Challenge by the Fabulous Tikeetha Thomas who I believe was truly my first blogging friend! She took a chance on me when I had less than 20 followers and allowed me to guest blog on her page (she has well over 1,000) followers and she has been giving me huge shout outs ever since then. Follow that link and go read her blog, she has wonderful insight into so many things. The least I can do is repay her back by participating in this challenge. – Making Time for Me

Thank you ! To anyone reading this tweet instead of this woman’s blog–well, you want to be here instead:  – Illian Rain

So, what am I saying? Thank you. Thank you for the compliments. Thank you for the interaction. Thank you for reading. Thank you for commenting. Thank you for inspiring. I’m in awe of each and every one of you.

  2. With all these awards I guess it’s pointless to let you know that I’m nominating you for Skipah’s Mother of the Year award. I cleared it with the Mommy Blogger panel and they said I was good to go. Seriously though you are an inspiration to me with how you parent and look out for the Munch man. I love reading about his achievements in the face of adversity. Pat yourself on the back you are doing it right!

    1. Awww, thank you Gary. I try. I am so happy that we were able to bring that dang math grade up. We have to keep working and striving to put our best foot forward all the time.

    1. Thank you. He’s doing better. We’re still working with the anxiety, but he’s in a good place. He’s in crush (his words) which I’m not sure I like but it makes him smile.
