I saw this when I started loving photos on Facebook for my friends and seeing these beautiful bursting hearts. I was amazed. It was love everywhere…
Cute huh? So, I searched the internet to find out more about International Day of Peace was established by the United Nations. They have established 17 Sustainable Development Goals. But, let’s talk about some of them now.
- Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
- Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education
- Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
- Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
- Promote peaceful and inclusive societies, justice for all, and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions
I saw this in another post earlier today. I’ll respond to yours the same way: it should be international day of peace every day. 😊

Amen!!! “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Not one of them would want to be a black person in America. Many are so afraid of what their other counterparts will say. They will justify or attempt to say that he or she did something wrong. They did NOTHING but be BLACK. I am tired of it. We ALL MUST BE PART OF THE SOLUTION!!!!

I read an article over the weekend saying that black folks should stop dating people who don’t speak up. Afterward, I turned and asked Anthony, “What do you think, do I speak up?” He laughed and said, “More than me.” (That, itself, is a reflection of privilege; by speaking up, I don’t endanger myself.)

Oh, that video. That video. I knew each of their names before the credits, and my heart aches to know the only thing fictional here is the color of people’s skin.

Me too. It made me cry thinking about a mother’s loss. We all grieve and we all bleed.

LOL. You do speak up often which is why I love your blog. You’re also a mother to black sons so you (like me) are fighting for your children as well as your husband.

Had another sleepless night just thinking about everything that I have seen on the news the past few days. I am utterly disgusted, and afraid for my family members. International day of peace… What a joke.
