2800 + Reasons to Smile

It just seems like I keep apologizing for my inability to get my thoughts out to you. I’m sorry for my delay. It’s been a busy two weeks and I’m exhausted. This month brought me Mother’s Day with Munch and honoring my mother with my siblings and our families. It brought me a 4th quarter progress reports with Munch earning 9 A’s, 4 B’s and 1 D. The D is in math. But, I’m prayerful that he can pick it up. I told you all that Munch is struggling in math this year, but we’re still pressing on. It happens, you know? Challenges. I just keep speaking life into him.

We’re looking forward to a 3 day weekend. No BBQ’s planned but family friendly fun. My niece is home from college and will be spending the weekend with Munch so he’s going to be overjoyed. I have to tell you that at our family Mother’s Day dinner Munch told my nephew (his cousin) that he’s his second favorite cousin. My youngest niece (she’s 6) asked him who was his favorite cousin and without hesitation he said “Kyah”. That’s the oldest niece who will be coming this weekend. I’m thankful for family. They are my reason to smile.

Speaking of reasons to smile…Munch and I went to church on Mother’s Day and he sang in the church choir. Beautifully. He gave me a rose and we then went home for a quick a nap and date night. He wanted to see the new Pokemon movie so that’s what we did. He said “Mommy, I’m sorry that I didn’t get you a gift.” I told him that he’s my gift every day and I just love him for being that gift. He made me a couple of things at school that are in my office including the picture below:

That’s about it for now. My class just ended. I’m finishing out the sorority year and I’m dating. I’ll definitely have to update you on that. Have an amazing Thursday!
