A Break

Hey Everyone!

I know you’re probably wondering what’s up with me. I haven’t posted since Monday. I’m sorry. It has been a really busy week at work and at home. I decided to take a break and focus on the things that I need to handle.

I’ve been reading books (I’ll review them soon) and trying to catch up on your posts. Please bear with me. I like to read what I’ve missed. I’m writing and journaling more than I ever thought possible. I’m in a place of zen. This has been relaxing.

You are missed and I will be back next week.

Peace and blessings to all of you.

The Thought Catalog

A couple of week’s ago I was ecstatic after receiving a message from one of the coordinators at The Thought Catalog. She said one of their staff writers had ran across one of my posts and thought it would be a good fit for their site. She asked me would I be interested in sharing it. “Uh yeah” I said.

Well, it was posted a couple of days ago and I wanted to share it with you. This is another avenue that will allow me to expand my readership and really get my name out there. I love the idea of sharing my work to big sites that have millions of readers. I am honored.

1000 Thoughts

Guess what I discovered yesterday morning? WordPress sent me this beautiful notification…

1000

Can you believe it? I’ve written or shared 1000 posts. Mainly written, but it is an awesome thing to know. I’m not doing this as a joke but for pleasure and purpose. I enjoy writing and sharing and interacting with you all.  If my posts inspire just one person to know that you are not alone and that I too have experienced similar things then I’ve done my job.

I’m not a stat watcher and my stats fluctuate often. Nature of the beast I guess. I love writing and I love blogging. Best advice that I can give is…do what you love. That’s it. Don’t worry about growing your followers, increasing your stats or spamming people. Be diligent about your craft and work your process. Legitimately.

Thank you for reading and following me along this journey. It’s been an eventful ride on a bumpy road, but such is life. I couldn’t imagine it any other way.

Danny’s World: A Common Question

It’s funny, I have no where near the numbers of followers that Danny and Jason have, but I get asked this question a lot too. Please check out what Danny has to say about growing your blog. He is one of the main people that I followed when I started to blog. Read him and you will understand why.

Some Blog Changes

You may have noticed some changes to my blog lately. I’m trying to spruce some things up on my social media accounts. To post more, to share more on my other accounts. How do you like my new theme on WordPress?

I got a custom banner created for my Facebook, Google + and Twitter pages by a designer on Fiverr. I’m excited. Now, there is some uniformity in my branding. If you haven’t had the chance, please like and follow me on social media.
