Happy Labor Day!

I’m in Tennessee right now with my family. It’s been an amazing weekend. Food, fun and family. Who could ask for more right?

I love this time with family because it allows me the opportunity to rest and relax among those that know me best. Munch is enjoying himself immensely. He loves seeing all his cousins and playing with the boys. He loves to rough house.

Enjoy your time with your loved ones and if you are off, enjoy your day off! Spend time eating, being at the beach or cooking on the grill. Summer is winding down. I wish you an awesome Labor Day my friend.

A Break

Hey Everyone!

I know you’re probably wondering what’s up with me. I haven’t posted since Monday. I’m sorry. It has been a really busy week at work and at home. I decided to take a break and focus on the things that I need to handle.

I’ve been reading books (I’ll review them soon) and trying to catch up on your posts. Please bear with me. I like to read what I’ve missed. I’m writing and journaling more than I ever thought possible. I’m in a place of zen. This has been relaxing.

You are missed and I will be back next week.

Welcome August

Yay! Welcome August. The 8th month of the year of 2017 is bound to be a generous one. A month filled with exciting opportunities to enjoy the last remnants of summer. If you are a parent, you will probably be school shopping and preparing to send your child back to school shortly.

The month has 31 days for you to accomplish your goals. You want to do a beach day, but can’t afford a vacation? Drive. Drive to a local beach. Look for discounts. Clip coupons and find free events. Have a pool date with friends or take in an outdoor show.

August is going to be busy for me. I am taking Munch to the fair and a couple of pool dates. We are going to do a beach trip and headed to an amusement park. I’m trying to squeeze as much mommy and me stuff in as possible. We also will be flying home at the end of the month to Tennessee to visit my grandma and dad.

I’m also attending my sorority’s picnic, the last weekend of the month and doing girl time with the bestie at the Mary J. Blige Concert. I told you yesterday about how important it is for you to nurture your friendships. This is something I take seriously. Girl time is a must!

For August I wish you the nicest of days with the brightest sun and no humidity. I wish you the feel of sand between your toes as you walk the shores. I wish you fruity drinks that cool your spirit on hot days. I wish you boardwalk food, carnivals and amusement parks. I wish you laughter in the park, music with your loved ones and barbecues with your family.

Don’t forget to mark off your goals. You still have time.

Baby Got Tanned

Hey loves!

I just returned from a wonderful weekend in Miami and I got tanned. I’m browner than normal, but loving this sexy colored skin that I put SPF50 on. LOL! I don’t want skin cancer. But, they are always telling me that my Vitamin D is too low. So, here’s to getting that sun on this chocolate skin, thighs and back.

Enjoy the pictures:

Miss Me?

Hey Folks,

This will be a short post. I took a much needed few days off this past weekend through yesterday. A mental health break. It was still busy because I had my Munch, but I wasn’t on social media (much) and I didn’t blog. I actually rested my mind. Sort of.

LOL. I’ll tell you about it later. I wanted to let you know that I’m back and I will be reading the blog posts I missed. I may be out of order with my likes/comments, so please bear with me.

Interesting stuff happened, so I will share those things with you too.  I hope you had a great few days.

Vacation Fail

I’ve returned from the beach and I need another vacation already. This was our second time attending Myrtle Beach as a family and of course we decided that this would be our annual family time. It would give us a chance to reconnect and bond. Rejuvenate ourselves and create memorable experiences.

None of this occurred. It was one of the worst vacations ever. I cried more than I thought possible since me and my son’s father parted ways and I don’t feel any better. I keep trying to motivate myself with inspirational thoughts like these…

you never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have quote

Yep, I was heartbroken by the events that occurred on vacation and I had to come to some real truths about my life and my family’s. I won’t hide my pain so others can feel comfortable. I will talk about the things I’ve endured not to embarrass you, but to hopefully inspire others. To know that I can help someone come out of a situation and still be standing.

That being said, I’ve decided to create a video blog and attach it to this blog to discuss important topics: such as sexual violence, faith, parenting, dating, relationships, break-ups, etc.  It’s modern day therapy for FREE and it will hopefully allow you to gain further insight into my life. To look at my life and maybe realize that we have some things in common.

So, right now I’ve decided to focus on this quote to carry me through this transition:

Bible-Quotes-On-Strength-1

I need to give it to God. Be of good courage. Stand strong in my faith and realize that no one can truly love me like GOD!

Until next time!

I’m On Vacation

Hey folks,

I will be on vacation for a few days. Headed to the beach with my family for fun and relaxation today. I will not be posting for the week of 8/17-8/21. I am going to take a break and finally focus on some other projects including my book.

I will write more when I return. Also, if everything goes well I’ll have a cool update for you on 8/24. Something juicy! LOL!
