the possibility in the pause

I had to share this great post by Deborah over at The Closet Monster. I think it speaks to something that we can all relate too. Having suffered trauma myself I know what it feels like to try to put yourself back together and just be strong no matter what hell you find yourself in. But, that pretending to be strong hurts more than the trauma in many cases. Debora said it best when she said “For most my life, I thought I was making myself strong by pretending trauma hadn’t shaped me. I thought I was shaping truth by ignoring portions of it.” Check out her post via the possibility in the pause
